Letters

We have a deep admiration for you and your courage to make such a selfless and loving sacrifice. We cannot express our gratitude enough for considering us and taking the time to look at our profile. We hope to paint an open and honest picture of who we are to enable you to make the best decision for your child and are excited to be given the chance to share ourselves with you. We are so thrilled for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption!
Having been married for over 8 years and knowing each other for 17 years we have been through a lot together. Our relationship is built on years of trust, love, laughter, and encouragement and is held together by our faith in Christ. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us.

Our Story

Hi! We are John and Tracy! We appreciate you taking the time to learn more about us!
We first met and got to know each other in high school but little did we know then that we would eventually end up together. We started hanging out one summer break in college with mutual friends which led to us dating. Our relationship really began to grow over our shared love for the outdoors, hours spent laughing and talking, bike rides, and trips to the lake. It didn’t take long for us to realize that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We got married two years later.
Tracy found out at a young age that she would be unable to conceive a child, but that never stopped us from wanting to have a family. Tracy has always had a heart for adoption and believed it would be a wonderful way to one day grow their family. Our dream came true for us in the fall of 2015 when we welcomed our beautiful daughter Elliana into our family. She has been such a joy and blessing in our lives more than we could have imagined and we look forward to growing our family again through adoption.
About John by Tracy

John pours his time and energy into the lives of others whether it be family, friends, or the patients he treats as a physician. He is always ready to lend a helping hand, and I know I can always count on him. His compassionate and caring spirit led him to become a doctor dedicated to serving others.
One of the qualities I admire and love about him is how great he is with kids. This trait was always evident in his interactions with our nieces and nephews but became even more apparent when our daughter joined our family. She is definitely a Daddy's girl, squealing and jumping with delight when he pulls up the driveway from work. He can often be found wearing her pink cowgirl hat, pretending to be a butterfly, or having tea parties with her on the floor. He plays an active role in teaching and sharing his passions with her, and she is never far from his side. He is a fun-loving husband, father, and friend who enjoys being active and doing things outdoors. John would do anything for his family, and he is excited and looking forward to welcoming another child into our home.
About Tracy by John

I met Tracy in high school where we were involved in a group which put together after school activities for kids in the inner city. That’s where I first saw her love for kids and passion for helping others.
Her compassionate nature mixed with her love of science and sports led her to become a physical therapist. She loves her career but right now she is staying at home to focus on Elliana which she has fully embraced and found great enjoyment in. They spend their days planning trips to the parks, play dates, reading books, and making fun crafts.
She always shows patience, compassion, and love for Elliana. Over the past two years, she has become more skilled at doing Elliana’s hair, which has been a great bonding time for them. These things along with her faith, love for family and the outdoors are what I really love about Tracy. She has shown to be a great mother, and I couldn’t ask for a better wife and friend to go through this journey with.
Ellie exudes energy and joy with everything she does. Ever since she started walking, she hasn’t stopped moving! She is a little explorer who loves to be outdoors and being active whether it be swimming in the lake, going for walks, jumping in the leaves, throwing snow in the air, or playing at the park. She is a huge animal lover and still squeals with delight every time we go to the zoo or petting farm and can never get enough snuggles with our dog Lewie. Recently she has fallen in love with playing with her toy kitchen and taking care of her baby doll. She has been showing an active interest in her new nephew, and we know she will make a very loving and caring big sister because of her compassionate nature and gentleness with younger children. We look forward to our children being able to relate to one another about being adopted.
We moved into our home this past July and have been hard at work making it our own. We love having the extra space to entertain family and friends. Our daughter loves running around and especially enjoys the finished basement. We’ve enjoyed playing in our yard and love seeing the deer and wildlife that walk through our property. We’ve cherished so many moments in this house already and can’t wait for the many more memories to come.
The neighborhood we live in is diverse and very welcoming. It is a very dog-friendly neighborhood which both our daughter and dog, Lewie, have enjoyed. Our neighborhood has access to a small private playground/beach area that is across the street from us. We’ve enjoyed swimming and playing in the sand and look forward to future ice skating, kayaking, and fishing adventures.
We are thrilled to have the activities our community has to offer; especially the local libraries, concerts at the park, and the many nearby playgrounds. Tracy’s parents only live a mile away while the rest of our family live within a 30-minute drive which has allowed for many family gatherings. We have also become involved in a local church and have loved getting to know the people there who have been so welcoming, warm, and kind.
One thing we love about where we live is being able to enjoy all the different seasons and what they have to offer. We treasure our time together as a family, and these are a few of our favorite activities we look forward to throughout the year.
Winter: Ski trips, making gingerbread houses and decorating sugar cookies, looking at Christmas lights, sledding, building snowmen and igloos, and then ditching the cold to vacation somewhere warm!
Spring: Easter egg hunts, walks which often involve jumping in rain puddles, and the return to bike riding and frequenting the nearby playgrounds.
Summer: Blueberry picking, splash pads/swimming, ice cream trips, and traveling to Johns parent’s cottage to enjoy the beach, walks in the woods, bonfires, star-gazing, games, and smores.
Fall: Apple orchards, cider and donuts, wagon rides, college football, jumping in leaves, trips up north to enjoy the changing leaves and many family birthday parties that fall this time of year.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us. We hope the glimpse we have given you into our lives shows you how much we value family. We desire so much to grow our family again through adoption and share our love with another child.
We promise to provide and care for your child with all that is within us. We promise to lead, guide, and teach your child patience and love; as well as, embrace him or her for who they are. We also promise to learn and grow with them. We are committed to letting your child know of the sacrifice you made and the loving decision that brought them into our home. We would love to meet you and stay in contact throughout your child’s life and are open to whatever amount of contact you desire. We pray for a sense of peace and clarity for you during this time.
Sincerely,
John and Tracy
